Arlene Seminary, 86, Fargo, passed away peacefully Aug. 11, 2018, at Rosewood on Broadway, in Fargo. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo. Burial will follow at Holy Cross North Cemetery.
Arlene Sauer was born on Aug. 2, 1932, to Jim and Rose (Sautner) Sauer in Bismarck. She was raised in Grafton, where she graduated from high school in 1950. Arlene married Jim Seminary on June 2, 1951. He passed away in 1999.
She is survived by six children, Diane (Marc) Nicolet, Reno, Nev., Michael (Deb) Seminary, Bismarck, Paul (Jacqui) Seminary, Fargo, John (Jennifer Lynn) Seminary, Springboro, Ohio, Sarah (Martin) Sieh, Hastings, Minn., and Jennifer (Chad) Stark, Fargo; her 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and beloved brother, James (Sharon) Sauer, South Pasadena, Calif.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and daughter, Anne Catherine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley and the John P. Smith Foundation at Holy Spirit Church.
