Beckie Bottjer
Beckie Lynn (Ellefson) Bottjer, 60, of Hunlock Creek, Pa., died January 10, 2022 at Geisinger South Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., after a courageous battle from complications of COVID-19 and Addison's Disease.
Beckie was born on March 1, 1961 in Newport, R.I. She was a conformant of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck and a 1980 graduate of Bismarck High School. On January 24th, 1982, she married John Bottjer of New Rochelle, N.Y. Beckie and John were married sixteen years before John's passing. As a widow with three children, she attended Northampton Community College where she earned a Specialized Diploma in Healthcare Billing and Coding. Beckie quickly earned her credentials as an exceptional medical biller, working in specialized medical practices in Pennsylvania and Arizona. Beckie loved her life as a wife, mother, and grandmother, her pride and joy was her five grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and greatly enjoyed cooking for her family, friends, and colleagues who lovingly referred to her as Beckie Crocker.
Beckie is survived by her two daughters Jerrilynn and Jamie, both of Hunlock Creek, Pa. and her five grandchildren; parents David and Marian Ellefson of Bismarck; siblings Margie (Neil) Lindemann of Fargo, David (Leah) Ellefson Jr. of Hutchinson, Minn., Barbara (Jim) Niemeyer of Lonsdale, Minn. and Michelle (Ric) Ellefson of Cambridge, U.K. She is preceded in death by her husband John, her son John Jr. and her birth father Steven Nemeth.

Beckie loved tirelessly and was everyone's mom... I think about her often and she will be sorely missed. I hope to be half the woman she was.

I have been attempting to reach Beckie since she called me from the hospital on January 5th for some health support. Now that I have found her obituary I am feel a deep sadness at her passing. We met when she lived here in Arizona. She was a sweet woman and always friendly, and her presence on earth will be missed. Condolences to her family and loved ones. RIP beautiful Beckie.
