Beth Beeler Obituary

Beth Ann Beeler, 54, Glendive, Mont., passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family and friends on March 13, 2015, at the Billings Clinic, Billings, Mont. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Wednesday, March 18, at Silha Funeral Home, Glendive, with the Rev. Robert Canen officiating.

Beth was born April 26, 1960, in Hazen, a daughter of Leo Lloyd and Ida Otilda (Becker) Mittelsteadt. She was raised and educated in Hazen and graduated from Hazen High School with the class of 1978. Following her graduation from high school, Beth attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for one year and then returned to Hazen. She remained in Hazen for a few years, before moving to Bismarck, where she attended Bismarck Junior College and received her associates degree in bookkeeping. After college, Beth always maintained a job where she could be working with or around people, whether it be waitressing, bartending, cashiering at grocery stores, or working with disabled people. She had a love for being around people, something she continued to love until the time of her passing.

While living in Bismarck, Beth met the love of her life, John Beeler. They were later united in marriage on Oct. 7, 1992, in Bismarck. One year following their marriage, the couple moved to Glendive, where they have resided since. Glendive very quickly became Beth's home and ever since moving to Glendive, Beth had considered it her home. While in Glendive, Beth continued her love of working around people. She worked numerous jobs, including cashiering at K-Mart, waitressing at CC's and Pizza Hut, and most recently she cashiered at Albertsons.

Beth was very family oriented and although she never had kids of her own, she treated many friends and family members as though they were her own, including her nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and especially enjoyed her movie dates with her nephew, Dillon. She would even schedule their dates six months in advance to accommodate his schedule. Beth was extraordinarily friendly and out-going, and she often considered everyone she met her friend.

During her down time, Beth enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also loved hunting and especially fishing. She always looked forward to spending time on the river in the boat, and every time they fished it was always a competition to see who was the better fisherman. Most of all though, Beth loved doing anything that meant spending time with her husband, John. They were each other's best friend, and they loved each other very, very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ida; her mother-in-law, Erma Sams; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, John Beeler, Glendive; one stepson, Scotty Beeler, Bismarck; three sisters, Cynthia Mittelsteadt, Milwaukee, Ore., Kathleen Gappert, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Faye (Leo) Schweitzer, Bismarck; one brother, Ross (Kathi) Mittelsteadt, Aurora, Colo.; numerous nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, John (Patty) Beeler and Don (Dee) Sams; three sisters-in-law, Lora (Mike) Smith, Glendive, Linda (Kent) Hensman, Worland, Wyo., and Lisa (Steve) Engebretson, Glendive; one brother-in-law, Cliff (Melonie) Beeler, Glendive; and special friends, Maria Stroh, Glendive, and Jen Peterson, Glendive.
