Bruce Marlin Adolf, 50, Bismarck, passed away to heaven on Oct. 19, 2010, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Bruce was born July 3, 1960, the son of Delmar and Marlene (Roemmich) Adolf. He attended Bismarck schools and entered the U.S. Army in 1980. He lived in Germany and then Colorado Springs, where he went to mechanic school.
Bruce lived largely. He enjoyed talking to people, camping, being a mechanic and listening to rock music. On June 30, 1988, a motorcycle accident would take away his active life. He never lost the strong-spirited person inside of him. His greatest pride was his twin children.
Bruce is survived by his children, Stephen Henri and Kaitlin Marie, and their mother, Kristine, all of San Lorenzo, N.M.; parents, Delmar and Marlene, Bismarck; sister, Bonnie (Rob) Verke, Anoka, Minn.; brother, Greg (Darcee), Aberdeen, S.D.; special aunt, Bernice Fried; nephews, Jordan, Owen and Brent; nieces, Emma and Greta; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
Bruce was greeted in heaven by his grandparents, Henry and Bertha Adolf and Edward, Mary and Anna Roemmich.
