He graduated from Drake High School in 1971 and in 1973 from NDSCS in Wahpeton as an electrician. Curt married Desi Volk on September 21, 1974 in Drake, North Dakota. Curt's true passion was farming, where he continued to grow the family farm south of Drake with his brother Dennis throughout his life. Curt enjoyed ice fishing, golfing, and playing cards with friends and family when not working. Family was the priority for Curt and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and the family dogs.
Curtis is survived by sons, Bradly (Gwen) Hauff, Mandan; Brian (Krystal) Hauff, Drake; grandchildren, Ethan and Avery, Mandan; Riley and Brady, Drake; sister, LaVonne (Leon) Samuel, Mandan; brother, Dennis, Drake; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of Curtis. We grew up together in the same neighborhood, attended school together for all 12 years, rode bus together and have many good memories to reflect on.
Praying that he is with the Lord God and family members now.

Curtis's mother and my mother were very close. Our farms were 4 miles apart. As a boy, Curtis and I played farm many times. He was a great father and grandpa. I enjoyed recalling many memories with him at family reunions. God's speed Curt.
