Curtis W. Walters was born Feb. 21, 1933, to Willie and Ella Walters, in Stanley. He died on May 11, 2019, at the Augusta Place in Bismarck.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Curtis attended school in Stanley and UND in Grand Forks. He joined the Army and served in Germany and Korea from 1954-56. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Stanley and worked for and eventually owned the Ford dealership. In 1972, Curt moved to Bismarck and worked in real estate and investment planning. Curt was an avid skeet shooter, hunter, and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; his parents; his sister, Dolores Walters; and his special friend, Lovilla Schuch.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Great Plains Food Bank.
