Darrell Ohlhauser Obituary

Darrell "Diesel" Ohlhauser, 70, Bismarck, died May 10, 2017, in a Bismarck hospital. Memorial services will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Darrell was born on July 5, 1946, to Martin A. and Emma (Schnaible) Ohlhauser, at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck. Darrell served ten years in the North Dakota National Guard. He also worked thirty years with Kirschmann and Bobcat-Melroe as a prototype technician.

Darrell was united in marriage to Rosella Bohe on Dec. 20, 1969.

Darrell enjoyed playing pinochle, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Darrell is survived by his wife: Rosella, Bismarck; children: Tammy (Allen) Rockman, Lynn Ohlhauser, Tanya Ohlhauser, Heidi Ohlhauser and Ray (Jessica) Ohlhauser; grandchildren: Cody Rockman, Megan Ohlhauser, Morgan Ohlhauser, Destiny Ohlhauser and Brenden Ohlhauser; brother: Jake Ohlhauser; sisters: Lila Mews and Carol Schlittenhart; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ted, Edward, Arty, Reinie, George, Maynard, Raymond, and Ruby Ohlhauser.
