Edwin Will Obituary
Edwin Will, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to be with Jesus in heaven at 2:40 a.m. on Feb. 15, 1999. He will be remembered for his quiet faith and gentleness. We will all miss him dearly. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evangel Temple with the Rev. Lloyd Jorgenson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, all at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior services at the church.
Edwin Will was born Sept. 27, 1912, the son of Christian and Christina (Schneider) Will, on a farm near Antelope. He received his education there and farmed with his parents for several years. He married Louise Jose in October of 1935, and they farmed near Hebron, Zap and Driscoll until Louise's death in 1951. After farming near Bismarck, Edwin moved into Bismarck where he owned and operated Eddy's Cities Service Station (Later Eddy's Gulf Service) from 1953 until 1972. He then worked at Century Motors and for Mobil Oil Co. until his retirement in 1978.
Edwin married Agnes Miller in 1954 in Bismarck. He enjoyed bowling, leather work and latchhooking. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed having them around him. He was a member of Evangel Temple since 1954.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Agnes; four daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Ted Hochhalter, and Marjorie and Allen Schirado, all of Bismarck, Diane and Curtis Boutilier, Minot, and Patricia and Richard Steinert, Regan; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Donna Will, Zumbrota, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, Matt, Sara and Becca Will, Tammy Celley and her husband, Roland, Mike Hochhalter and his wife Kelly, Jennifer, Joe and John Schirado, Brad and Steve Boutilier, and Joshua and Jordan Steinert; four great-grandchildren, Aaron and Alison Celley, Tylan Hochhalter, and Sydney Will; one brother and two sisters-in-law, John and Katie Will, Bismarck, and Erna Will, Beulah; three sisters, Lena Luithle, Bismarck, Adeline Luithle, Richardton, and Edna Heinle, Valley City; and many nieces and nephews.
Edwin was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise; one son, Duane; one daughter, Elaine; his parents; his brothers, Adolph and Henry; and an infant brother, Emil. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)
