Jeanette (Jean) Hazel Swanson
BISMARCK - Jeanette (Jean) Hazel Swanson, 92, Bismarck, had a date with Jesus on May 5, 2023. When he picked her up, he told her "Well done, good and faithful servant."
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1020 N. Main St., Tioga, ND with interment at United Cemetery, Tioga, ND.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 10 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.
Interment following the service at United Cemetery, Tioga, ND.
Jeanette was born on April 25, 1931, in Thief River Falls, MN to Julius and Tilda Marie Weflen.
She was united in marriage to Carl Swanson on December 16, 1951. They made their home in Tioga, ND. Carl passed away in January 1974. Jean moved to Williston and was employed at DeeBee's women's clothing shop. She moved to Bismarck in order to be closer to family.
Jean was a very sociable person and made friends easily wherever she went. She had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jeanette is survived by her three sons: Dr. William (Nancy) Hazen, ND; Dr. Thomas (Karen), Bismarck, ND; and Richard (Kalli), Minot, ND; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Kathryn (Brock) Holen, Daxton, Drake and Brynlee, Jennifer (Patrick) Holen, Beckham and Cruz, Matthew Swanson, Haley (Dr. Ismael) Grachico and Josefine, Samuel Swanson, Mason (Mary) Swanson and Juniper, and Alecsandr Swanson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
