MENOKEN - Kali Grace Coffey, 3, Menoken, died May 4, 2014, at her home, peacefully, in her Mother's arms after a 15-month brave battle with cancer. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kali was born Aug. 13, 2010, in Bismarck, to Jason and Kristine (Bommelman) Coffey.
Kali was known for two things, her beautiful blue eyes and her love for all things Minnie Mouse. Kali's love for Minnie was so strong she was able to meet Minnie the day before she became an Angel. Kali loved all Disney Junior shows, especially the new Sheriff Cali's Wild West. Kali and her deputy (sister) Bailey would ride around the house singing the songs and catching bad guys. They would often wake Mom and Dad up early in the morning so they could watch their morning cartoons.
For those of you who didn't get to know Kali, she always carried a 3-foot-tall Minnie Mouse that was her best friend during her hospital visits. Now Minnie will accompany Kali on to the next journey God has waiting for her, and we think Lambie snuck in there too for extra cuddles. Kali also liked to help Daddy work in his office, and frequently, with the help of her assistant Bailey, would refile "all" of Dad's paperwork.
For us, we will always remember one thing she would always tell us when she would see that others were sad or worried, "Don't Be Sad, Be Brave". Now that she is gone, we know her spirit will live on through the people she touched and the wonderful memories we made with her.
Kali, we love and miss you!
