Krista Wilson Obituary

Krista Wilson

Krista Marie (Schwede) Wilson, 28, Bismarck, passed away July 12, 2009, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, with the Rev. James McEachran officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Krista was born Jan. 20, 1981, the daughter of Mark and Pamela (Nygaard) Schwede. She grew up and attended school in Bismarck. Krista worked in the food service industry, including management and fast food. She was pursuing a degree at Bismarck State College when she was involved in a car accident three years ago. Krista married Joseph Wilson on July 8, 2000.

Krista had a love for her family and especially her nieces. She enjoyed collecting Winnie the Pooh, sunflowers and dolls.

Throughout her life, Krista was a very kind and caring person who always loved to give to others rather than herself. She loved to spend time with family and friends, sit and listen to music, and cook, especially for others. She was a very loving person who never had a harsh word for anyone and you very rarely saw her upset. Krista had a beautiful singing voice, a voice that will be missed by all who knew her well.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph, Bismarck; her parents, Mark and Pamela Schwede, Bismarck; her brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Amanda Schwede, Bismarck; her nieces, Lexi and Hanna Schwede, Bismarck; her God-daughter, MaeLynn Benske; her special friend, Jeannie Benske; two sisters-in-law, Holly Wilson and Angela Lang; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Verlin and Joan Nygaard, and Arlie and Pauline Schwede; and an infant sister, Zoe Schwede.
