FLASHER -- Larry James Bohl, 57, 2925 Country Road 135, Flasher, died May 14, 1999, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. CDT Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, with the Rev. Kenneth G. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, at 3 p.m. CDT, with full military rites provided by American Legion Schafer Boye Lange Post No. 69, Flasher.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue from 5-9 p.m. CDT at St. Lawrence Church, Flasher. A KC Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. MDT tonight, followed by a St. Peter and Paul Verein Rosary at 7:15 p.m. MDT and a parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. MDT, all at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Flasher.
Larry was born on July 26, 1941, in Mandan, the son of Michael Jacob and Barbara (Friesz) Bohl. He was raised and educated in Fallon. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. On Sept. 28, 1968, he married Darlene Nagel in Carson. They both farmed and ranched in the Flasher/Fallon area.
Larry was a member of the KC and American Legion Clubs. He was the president of the Farmers Union Co. in Flasher and also President of Fallon Local. He served as secretary of St. Peter and Paul Verein and was the Treasurer of the Morton County Crop Improvement.
He is survived by his spouse, Darlene, Flasher; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Anthony and Shannon, Tacoma, Wash., Steve, Richard and Robert, all of Flasher; one daughter, Melissa, Grand Forks; two grandchildren, Rachell and Austin Bohl, Tacoma; and one brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Patti, Mandan.
He was preceded in death by his parents. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan)
