Laurie Ann Trusty, 56, Bismarck, died May 1, 2010, in her home southeast of Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Thursday, May 6, at Church of St. Mary's, Bismarck.
Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Laurie was born in Miles City, Mont., on Dec. 30, 1953, the daughter of James and Nora (Hartse) Carlson. She was the fourth child of 10 children. Laurie graduated from Custer County High School in 1972 and went on to North Dakota State University and obtained a degree in pharmacy in 1977. Laurie worked at numerous pharmacies in the Bismarck area, often providing relief for others who needed time off. Laurie last worked at the Mayo Pharmacy, filling prescriptions for the residents of the Baptist Home.
Laurie will be remembered for her unequalled generosity. She gave her time, her advice, her laughter and anything else she was ever asked for. She was a colorful person in all senses of the word and made any room brighter with her presence.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Trusty, whom she married in 1974; two children, Jennifer Lynn Trusty, Panama City, Fla., and Paul Evan Trusty, Bozeman, Mont. Laurie will also be greatly missed by her "adopted" grandchildren, Madelynne, Annabelle, Alexander, Matthew and Christen.
