Leo Holler Obituary
HAZEN -- Leo Anton Holler, 79, Hazen, entered eternal rest with his savior on June 13, 1998, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen, with the Rev. Bob Pittman officiating. A reception will be held after the funeral in the basement of St. Martin's Catholic Church, Hazen. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Garden in Pensacola, Fla., at a later date.
Visitation hours will be from 2-8 p.m. MDT Monday, at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.
Leo was born on Dec. 12, 1918, at Hay Marsh, a son of Henry and Dorthea (Morman) Holler. He was raised on a farm and educated in rural school there. At the age of 18, Leo and his family moved to Grassy Butte.
In 1937, he entered the Civilian Conservation Corps and served for two years. He then was inducted into the United States Navy and served in the Panama Canal and Pacific Ocean regions respectively.
Leo obtained the rank of seaman first class while serving his country. Following his discharge from the Navy, Leo made his home in Pensacola, Fla. He worked as a civil servant for the Civil Service as an electro plater for the Naval Air Research Center. He retired there at the age of 62.
On Nov. 17, 1945, he married Jenny Dickens. They lived in Pensacola and raised their son, James A. Holler there.
Following the death of his first wife, Leo remarried. He married Martha J. Holler at Hazen on June 8, 1994, at Stanton. They made their new home together in Hazen until his untimely death.
Leo is survived by his wife, Martha, Hazen; his son, James A. and Sharon Holler, Pace, Fla.; his stepdaughter, Rosemary and Ralph Dutenhefner, Hazen; his stepsons, John A. and Valerie Holler, Drake, and Robert A. Holler, Star Prairie, Wis.; three sisters, Anna Herman, Whitefish, Mont., Rose Schroeder, Kalispell, Mont., and Mary Hecker, Dickinson; one brother, Clements Holler, Great Falls, Mont. He also leaves six grandchildren, Bobbie Trana and Sheila Faut, Hazen, Rebecca and David Holler, Drake, and Nathan and Natalie Holler, Pace, Fla.; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Katelyn, Christopher Trana and Miranda and Mason Faut, all of Hazen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jenny; two brothers and one sister.
Leo was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to all of us. He was an avid fisherman and loved to make and see people laugh. He will be sorely missed by all. (Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen)
