Nancy Witt, 70, Bismarck, passed away peacefully at a Bismarck hospital on Feb. 25, 2010, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, with Chaplain Dan Sweeney officiating.
Nancy was born April 20, 1939, in Bismarck, to Ell and Margret (Mundy) Torrance. She grew up in Bismarck and attended Bismarck High School. Nancy married Alvin Witt on July 7, 1956, in Bismarck. She and Alvin have three children.
Nancy took great pride in and enjoyed spending time with her family and was devoted to the special needs of her daughter, Tammy. She will be remembered for her quiet politeness and sense of humor. She is loved and will be missed by her family.
Nancy is survived by her children, Tammy Witt, Keith (Jean) Witt and Jennifer (Dave) Bender; four grandchildren, Deandra, Lucas, Nathan and Eric; two great-grandchildren, Keira and Tukker; two sisters, Judy Speaks and Bonnie Torrance; and her brother, Richard Torrance.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
