PLYMOUTH, MN - If you passed by Pat Sahli on the street, you would have never realized that a great human being was in your presence. No fancy prefix, suffix, or titles. Pat was an unassuming man with gifts and talents that went far beyond degrees or awards.

Patrick Joseph Sahli was born March 17, 1957, in Minneapolis, to Rita and Virgil Sahli, the first of six children. The family lived in Bloomington, where Pat found first friendships and his love of sports. In 1971, Virgil moved the family to Red Wing, Minnesota where he started a glass business. It was a great fit for the Sahli family! There Pat met his lifelong buddies, the "RW boys". Pat's work ethic and strong family values were formed by working side-by-side with his family in their glass shop. The Sahli's also brought hockey to Red Wing. At one time, the Sahli squad of Pat, and brothers Ron, Don, and Jim made up the "I know where my brother is going to be without looking" line on the high school hockey team.

After graduation, Pat continued to play hockey in college and semi-pro teams. He got paid to play! Teams included the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and the Rochester Yellowjackets. Pat also worked the rink as the Zamboni driver, while he worked on his homework and mastered his early multitasking skills! He also had a brief stint in the Carolinas working as a lifeguard on the beach, however, he was terminated for refusing to wear the "mandatory" speedo. Returning home to Minnesota and finishing his education at the U of M, Pat then went out to tackle the workforce. He built homes as part owner of Nostalgic Homes, while working in sales for Donaldson Company.

Years later, he became part owner of Graham Research in June 1992. He sold the company to his partner in 2020 but worked through 2021.

Pat fully retired recently, enjoying every day like it was a Saturday. This humble, quiet, calm man met Cyd Mock of Braddock, North Dakota in July 1991, and their exciting adventure began. Cyd made Pat step out of his comfort zone by taking in basketball games, Broadway plays, hundreds of concerts, international travel, and trips to the farm in Braddock, ND. You know Pat ... he never said no! Pat and Cyd married in December of 1995 and a few years later (1999) their family grew to include Alex and a year and a half later, Andrew. With their two sons, came an even stronger love. Every day, Pat demonstrated his ability to protect and guide them, and he was always an outstanding example of character to his sons. Pat was involved in every aspect of his boys' lives. He was their biggest fan! He coached or volunteered with Boy Scouts, their football, baseball, and hockey teams. Lacrosse was new territory ... so, he cheered them on from the sidelines. Pat will be remembered as a multidimensional man: Employer: A fair, generous, grateful, level-headed, team builder, who shied away from the spotlight. Traveler: Pat was a well-experienced traveler. Adventurous, courageous, resilient, and flexible. He loved hiking, skiing, and exploring the local scenery. Some of his favorite trips included Yosemite, where he hiked to the top of Half Dome and El Capitan, Glacier, Yellowstone, Denali, Estes Park, and our many ski trips throughout the Rocky Mountains. In his time traveling with Cyd, they explored Hawaii, Singapore, Bali, Vancouver, Whistler and France. Recently, he had traveled to Africa on a safari with friends, Croatia on a cruise, and stops in Amsterdam, Venice, and Paris along the way. Among his favorites was a trip to Italy, visiting Rome and Florence, where he enjoyed lounging poolside at a Tuscan villa, enjoying vino out of the bottle. Husband and Father: Pat was a man of faith, who took care of his family, and looked out for all their needs. He was proud, loving, and cherished their time together. Friend: He was always willing to help with a smile on his face, a keen observer who never sought attention, loyal and always "passed the puck". Pat died the way he lived ... Peacefully.

Pat leaves behind his wife of 28 years Cyd, his children Alex and Andrew, four brothers Ron (Jayne), Don, Jim (Lisa), John (Debbie), sister Mary Jo (Marty) Kelly, numerous nieces and nephews, family members and many, many friends.

Visitation was held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, Jan. 11 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., Plymouth, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be today at 11:00 am on Friday, Jan. 12 at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN with visitation one hour prior to Mass.

Private interment. Memorials preferred Family will be making donations to Pat's favorite organizations.
