Although I wasn't so blessed to know Mr. Martin personally, I can claim to know what a fine man he was based on the children he sired. It was a beautiful sight watching this family when they were together. There was kindness, laughter, and a self-assurance that all grow from knowing how deeply one is loved. It was clear that his children knew his love for them was everlasting, and he received theirs with the same depth. Shirleen and all, I wish you strength and peace.

Ray was a great friend and cousin to my Dad and Best Man at my parents wedding in 1942. Always enjoyed conversations with him the few times I managed to see him. He will be missed.
