Sebastian T. Giallella EWING TOWNSHIP At the age of 95, Sebastian T. Giallella "Sam" passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, in his home with family by his side. Sam proudly served in WWII in the Navy as an Aviation Ordinanceman. At the end of the war, Sam graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Civil Engineering and obtained his Professional Engineer license in multiple states. He worked at the Highway Department of NJ as a surveyor and later transferred into the Department of Environmental Protection as a Bureau Chief, where he remained for 34 years. His associates noted him as being a steady leader with solid dedication and perseverance. Upon his retirement, he opened a successful engineering consulting firm for ten years. Throughout his life, he achieved many accomplishments, such as being a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Scottish Rite, Legion of Honor, American Legion, Elks, and the San Felese Society of NJ. With all of his success and titles in his life, Sam's favorite was being "A Family Man," to whom he was profoundly dedicated. He was immensely funny and had quite a talent for making each person he met feel special, which is one of the many reasons he will be missed by so many. If he left his family with any words of wisdom, they would be: "Yesterday is history Tomorrow is a mystery Today is a gift, that's why they call it the Present". Sam is survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley Giallella, his son Marco Giallella, daughter Lisa Giallella Splendido (Dan), daughter Michele Giallella Vadala, and his precious granddaughter Emily Vadala. In keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, the Funeral and Burial are private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Apple in Pennington, NJ. A celebration of Sam's "Well Lived Life" will take place at a later date.
