Sirena Dee Barnett, 44, Bismarck, N.D., passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in her home.
Sirena Dee Barnett was born on October 24, 1980, the daughter of Ronda Slauter in Dayton, Ohio. When she was two years of age, she moved to Bismarck, where she was raised in the family home until the age of 13. She then moved into a group home, where she received excellent care.
During her time at the Enable Inc group home, Sirena enjoyed listening to country music, looking at bright lights and the company of her mother and father, Doug.
Sirena's family would like to thank the staff and care-givers for the wonderful care and friendship shown to her family over the past several years. Also thank you to the Sanford Hospice of Bismarck for the care shown to Sirena and her family over the past months.
Sirena is survived by her parents, Ronda and Doug Carlson; brother, Justin Barnett; niece, Charley; special cousin, Heidi Clark; Godmother, Dee Caricol; special aunt, Kelly Sundsbak; aunts and uncles, Marcia (John) Harvey, David Kopp, John (Darlene) Carlson, Ken (Patty) Carlson, Duane (Dawn) Carlson, Karen (Roger) Crocker, Elaine Carlson, Joyce (Dan) Childers, Diane (Doug) Brendsel; several cousins also survive.
Sirena was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold and Rose Slauter; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Iva Carlson; uncles, Donnie Jessen, Hal Slauter, and Ray Carslon; aunt, Ruth Kopp; and cousin, Matthew Brendsel.
Visitation: Friday, September 26, 2025 from 12 p.m. to the service time at the Southside Church of the Nazarene, Minot.
Funeral service: Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Southside Church of the Nazarene, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
