Vera Dannette Schneider

Vera Dannette Schneider, 66, 1102 E. Ave. C, Bismarck, died Jan. 11, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at noon Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bismarck, the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with a vigil service said at 7 that evening, both at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan.

Vera was born on Nov. 13, 1931, in Wing, to Daniel and Alma (Eskelie) Wahlman. She was raised and educated in the Wing and Sterling area. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1948. She married Joseph F. Schneider in Bismarck, on Sept. 15, 1949.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was an energetic homemaker, "domestic engineer," and everyone marveled at her creativity, cooking abilities and zest for life. She was a mother and best friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; four daughters, Marcia Schneider, Raymond, Wash., Cheri Schneider and Erin Schneider, both of Bismarck, and Therese Morgenstern, Beulah; six sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry, Sterling, Kevin and Diana, Bloomfield, N.M., Joel, Pierre, S.D., Daniel and Corey, both of Bismarck, and Theodore, Mandan; four sisters, Wilma Jodsaas, Colestrip, Mont., Irma Schlabach, Driscoll, Lila Ashmore, Black Eagle, Mont., and Eileen Larson, Bismarck; one brother, Daniel Wahlman, Center; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Dannette. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)
