Violet Stelter

Violet Stelter, 82, Bismarck, passed away Dec. 21, 2007, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at the Bismarck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Christopher Alexander officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Bismarck Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service.

Violet was born Aug. 27, 1925, to Karl and Katherine (Wanner) Flemmer in Turtle Lake.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary and 50 plus. She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck.

She is survived by four daughters, Susan (Bill) Larsen, Pennsylvania, Shirley (Bob) Holzer, Bismarck, Sharon (Steve) Rundquist, Florida, and Sandra Stelter, Arizona; one son, Stan (Sher) Stelter, Minnesota; one brother, Albert (Lois) Flemmer, Minnesota; one sister, Marie Gibson, California; one sister-in-law, Tillie Hoffer-Flemmer, Turtle Lake; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death her husband, Samuel; one son, Steven; brothers, Christ, Philip, Edward, Walter and Martin; and sisters, Christina Farson, Martha Pease, Esther Wagner, Ruby Boe and Lydia Dieber.
