HUBERT MILTON DAVIS
Hubert Milton Davis, 79, United States Marine Corps Veteran, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Bladen County, the son of the late Milton Isaac Davis and Pauline Davis.
Surrounded by his family, Hubert peacefully slipped off into a blissful sleep on his eternal journey with his Lord and Savior. He had enjoyed a full life, met challenges head on with courage and stamina, being oriented by the disciplined life as a United States Marine. His family and friends meant the world to him. He enjoyed sharing special hobbies with his children and grandchildren, everything from water skiing and horseback riding to working on racecars together. He also enjoyed motorcycle cruising with his friends. He was thankful for all the special people in his life and of course his beloved dog, "Blue". Hubert loved church and everyday became Sunday as he anticipated the time of Sunday worship. He will be missed by many, but Heaven's bliss surely outshines this life down here.
He was preceded by his parents, three brothers, Houston Davis, Bobby Davis, and Curtiss Davis, and one sister, Willa Jean Davis Spencer. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Pauline B. Davis of the home, son Jeffrey Davis (Renee) of Bladenboro, daughter Melanie Davis Ashe of Bladenboro, sister Annie Pearl Davis Guy of Raeford, three grandchildren Colby Ashe (Madison), Ethan Davis, and Ashton Davis, one great grandchild, Lainey Ashe and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at the Center Road Baptist Church with a funeral service immediately following. The Reverend Adam Self will be officiating the service. Burial will commence in the church cemetery following the services.
