Arthur Corn Obituary

HENDERSONVILLE- Arthur "BB" Corn, 93, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Elizabeth House. A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Horace and Fannie McCarson Corn and the husband of the late Mattie Griffin Corn who died in 2011. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Moore. He worked with Delta Airlines for thirty one years, and was a maintenance foreman when he retired in 1985. He was a member of Lucia Baptist Church in Stanley, NC. He served with the Army Air Corps during WWII. Through his work with Delta Airlines, he lived in several locations before returning to Hendersonville in 2001.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherrill Wunderlich of East Flat Rock, Patricia Goins and her husband Yogi of Flat Rock; six grandchildren, Art, Terry, Greg, Angela, Jenny, and Scott; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Corn and his wife Kitty of Arden; a sister Jewel Brooks of Hendersonville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold McKinnish officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service in the chapel.

I have happy memories of our Uncle Art and his wonderful wife Aunt Mattie and Lynn. I cannot express the love I have for his family and the Corn family. He is in Heaven with his love ones that he loved so much. What a great reunion.
