Emerson White Obituary

Emerson Donald White, 86, of Placida, Florida peacefully passed away on October 29,2023 at home surrounded by family.

Known to all as Don, he was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts to Emerson and Alice White. He graduated from Leominster High School and received a Business Degree from Babson College and was also a veteran of the Army. For ~ 50 years, he was the owner of Whiteco Sales Co. and as a manufacturer's representative serviced retail accounts throughout the greater New England area retiring at the ripe young age of 85. Don genuinely believed if you love your job, you never worked a day in your life.

Don was a lover of the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening spending many years at homes by the ocean in Ipswich, Massachusetts and Boca Grande, Florida where he could be seen in the yard replanting some vegetation in his fashionable suspenders.

Don is survived by his wife, Karen White, and his three children; Curtis White, Gregory White, and Brenda McSherry; his four stepchildren Chris Van Winkle, Jennifer Bloom, Greg Van Winkle, and Julie Migliore; and his thirteen grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Gary White (Suzanne), and his sister-in-law Marguerite White. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Osborne White and his brother, Richard White.
