Keith Parminter Obituary

Keith Truett Parminter passed away on Monday evening June 19, 2023, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, after a short illness, with his daughters by his bedside. He was born April 3,1929, to Edgar and Lois Parminter of Lockwood.

Keith loved his church, his family, and life in the Bolivar community where he was manager / owner of Bolivar Milling Company. He loved fishing, hunting, and tending his lawn. Keith was a longtime member of the Bolivar Rotary Club and a 60-year member of the American Legion. He was on the Board of the Missouri Extension Center. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he was injured in the head, by shrapnel, from an artillery shell, only 17 days before the armistice was signed.

Keith was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna. Keith will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kathy Sears of Springfield, Terry Sears and husband Pete of Ballwin; two grandsons, Brian Brown of Springfield, and Patrick Sears and wife Rachel of Washington D.C. He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Barnard and husband Richard of Lee's Summit, and nephew, David Parminter and wife Barbara of Madison, Wisconsin.

Keith's family wishes to thank the staff at the Missouri Veterans Home for their kindness and wonderful care given to Keith during his six and a half years at the facility. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bolivar Rotary Club or The American Legion.
