James Cramer Obituary
James "Jim" Jay Cramer, 75, of Wallowa, OR, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. No service is planned.
Jim was born on March 10, 1948 in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Jay and Evelyn (Welsh) Cramer. He resided in Brighton, CO; Clark Fork, Idaho and Wallowa, OR. Jim graduated from Brighton High School and went on to study at Cabrillo Community College in Santa Cruz, CA. He served our country while in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was married to Sharon Ann Kurilich for 48 years.
Jim owned his own business as a contractor, building and remodeling homes for 30 years. He was fiercely independent, free-thinking, hard-working, and liberal-leaning. A big questioner of authority, and was fearless, but also gentle and funny. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and was a dog lover. He considered Clark Fork Idaho his home. He especially loved following the Gonzaga men's basketball team. He was a member of the VFW.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon; sister, Connie Ward and 6 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jay and Evelyn "Peg" and sister Becky Sutton.
