Anna Jeffress Obituary

ANNA "LAVERNE" JEFFRESS LaVerne Jeffress passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Ashley Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, Missouri. She was born in Howard County, Missouri on November 16, 1933, the last surviving daughter out of 14 children of Levi and Anna (Rickerson) O'Dell. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a small service following at 7:30 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. LaVerne was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid Organization. She enjoyed word search puzzles and over the years was known for her waitressing at Goldie's, Steinhouse and Bobber Restaurants. LaVerne was preceded in death by her youngest son David Hoerl, husband Wilbur Hoerl, and husband Leland Jeffress. She is survived by her sons Wilbur Jr. and Dale Hoerl; her daughter Debbie (Hoerl) Neef; granddaughters Heather (Schilb) Robb and Amber Schilb, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard-Millard Funeral Home, 1397 Ashley Rd., Boonville, Mo 65233 (660) 882-3381. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.howardfh.com.
