Henry Heidelberg Obituary
Henry Hensel Heidelberg, son of the late Ernest L. and Gertrude Emma Marie (Wenzel) Heidelberg, was born on April 8, 1927 in Courtney Flats, Oklahoma, and departed this life on August 2, 2016 in Ringling, Oklahoma t 89 years of age.
Henry grew up in Courtney Flats and graduated from Courtney Flats High School. He served in the United States Army from 1945 - 1947. Henry married Marie Merry on July 8, 1944 and together they raised five children. Henry later adopted and raised five more children. After Henry left the military, he and Marie moved to Texas where he worked in the oil fields. He also spent time working as a machinist. In the 1970'2, they moved to Manes, Missouri, and bought a dairy farm, which he greatly enjoyed.
Henry loved visiting and being around others. He enjoyed telling jokes and trading and swapping whenever he had the chance. Henry was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for several years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, on August 26, 1976; two sons: Dale and William Lewis Heidelberg; one daughter: Pamela Jeanette Heidelberg: one brother: Jerry Ben Heidelberg; one grandchild: Larry "Andy" Heidelberg; two great grandchildren: LaRhonda Marie Love and Chelsea Marie Villezcas.
He is survived by three sons: Larry Heidelberg of Nederland, Texas, Jon Heidelberg on Mineral Point, Missouri, and William Henry Heidelberg of Mansfield, Missouri; four daughters: Pat Love and her husband, Ronnie, of Fritch, Texas, Elizabeth Heidelberg of Crane, Missouri, Helen Rader and her husband Jack, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Mary Doherty and her husband Jesse of Hartville, Missouri; one brother: Ernie Heidelberg and his wife, Shirley, of Fritch, Texas; one sister: Lula Pierce of Healdton, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Memorial services are schedule on August 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Keeler Baptist Church in Borger, Texas.
