Peggy Jeanene (Mullinax) Hodge entered this world March 2, 1933 to James Aldon and Minnie Vertiz (Miller) Mullinax in Morton, Texas. She passed to her Heavenly Home November 7, 2021 in Borger.

While in High School, she met and fell in love with William Joe (Dub) Hodge. The two started their journey together on May 28, 1950 in Morton. In 1960, Dub and Peggy adopted their first child, Tonya. In October 1962, they welcomed their son Duane into the family. They lived in Morton until June of 1980. When their children started to school, Peggy started her career in the school system as a Librarian. She taught as an aide in Borger until 1996.

Peggy was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, Borger. Also, she was a member of Frank Phillips Community Choir. She enjoyed studying the Bible, painting, knitting, book reading and being with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents and 2 sisters: Norma Pool and Brenda Akin.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dub, of 71 years: a daughter, Tonya Moore and husband Blake of Canyon and a son, Duane Hodge and wife Beth of Borger; grandchildren: Matthew Spruiell and wife Luz of Amarillo, Will Moore of Nashville, Tennessee, Breanna Watts and husband Josh of Canadian, Texas, Alyssa Durham and husband Josh of Amarillo; great grandchildren: Sierra, Gael, Mia, Coltley, Braxley and Marley; a sister, Teresa Smith and husband Jack of Morton, Texas and a brother, Jimmy Mullinax and wife Dolores of Lubbock, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 602 N. McGee St., Borger. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.

The family will welcome friends on Thursday, November 11 at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, 206 W. 1st St., Borger from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice in Peggy's name.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
