McCARTHY, Adeline M. "Adel" 83, a Chelmsford resident, passed away on Friday December 16, 2016 at The Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the loving wife of Edward F. McCarthy with whom she shared a true love story and 62 years of marriage. Born in Boston on March 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (DeChristoforo) Guarino. Along with her husband, Mrs. McCarthy owned and operated Kwik Kopy in Westford for 23 years. In addition to her husband, Adel is survived by her children, Virginia Palazzo and her husband, Vincent of Belmont, Louise DiFronzo of Chelmsford, Catherine Hanam of North Brookfield, Eileen McCarthy and her husband, Frank Geshwind of Madison, CT; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christa, Gregory, Alex, Robert, Jessica, Chloe, Michael, Lily, and Abigail; her siblings, Ernest Guarino and his wife, Betty of Medford, Luann Brown and her husband, David of NH, Daniel Guarino of Newburyport; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Guarino and mother-in-law of the late Paul DiFronzo and Gerald Hanam. Visiting Hours: Monday December 19, 2016 in the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD from 2 until 5 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11 AM in St. Mary Church, Chelmsford. Please meet at Church. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
