AGNES G. ROSE

ROSE, Agnes G. (McKenna) Age 98, died peacefully on April 28, 2024, at Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Rose. Born in Boston, MA, on October 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen McKenna. She graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in 1945. She lived in Norwood for 73 years and was a longtime parishioner of St. Denis Church in Westwood. Before her retirement, Agnes worked for Bank of America and after retirement, worked at St. Denis Rectory for many years. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing several times a week. She also enjoyed playing cribbage and cards with her friends at Norwood Senior Center. Her biggest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren in her summer home in Maine. Devoted mother of Stephen Rose of Norwood, Ellen Donahue and her husband, Greg of Medway, Brian Rose and his partner, Trish McGowan of Walpole; her daughter-in-law, Ellie Rose of Norfolk; and her late son, Robert R. Rose, Jr. Cherished grandmother of Jason Rose and his partner, Christina, Jacquline Rose and her partner, Joe, Courtney McCarthy and her husband, Michael, Katie Mascary and her husband, Kevin, Alexandra Dulong and her husband, Aaron, Hilarie Rose and the late Gregory Donahue, Jr. Great-grandmother of Ava, Jonathan, Andrew, Shaelyn and Arielle. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., NORWOOD, MA 02062, Friday, May 3, 2024, at 8:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Denis Parish, 157 Washington St., Westwood, MA 02090. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday morning only, from 8:30am to 10:30am. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Norwood Senior Center, 275 Prospect St., Norwood, MA 02062.
