ALAN R. BENDER

BENDER, Alan R. Age 81, of Wellesley, formerly of Brighton, passed away on November 2, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, the late Albert and Catherine (Angus) Bender of Brighton. Loving husband of the late Richard G. Deloge. Alan is survived by his brother, Richard Bender, of Stoughton; nephew, Kenneth Bender, of Virginia; nieces, Deborah Barrett of Stoughton, Ann O'Neil of Framingham, Jean Patino of Marlboro, Kelly Hardy of Virginia and Jennifer Colena of New Hampshire. Also survived by many cousins, grandnephews, grandnieces and friends, including longtime friend, Jack Messina of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Bender, of Waltham and sister-in-law, Patricia Bender of Stoughton. Alan graduated from Bentley College and spent most of his career in financial services for Charles T. Main, Inc./Parsons Corporation in Massachusetts. He made many lifelong friends there and enjoyed attending the reunions over the years. Alan was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Devens. Visiting Hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16), WELLESLEY, Saturday, November 8, from 9:30 to 11:30AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
