ALISON QUARTERMAIN GERSTEN

GERSTEN , Alison Quartermain Of South Natick, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, on May 18th, of natural causes. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Sam Gersten; her best friend and cherished sister, Leslie Quartermain Wilson; brother-in-law John Wilson; nephew Johnny Wilson; nieces, Courtney, and Mamie Wilson; and Sam and Alison's loyal golden retriever, Archie. Alison was the beloved daughter of the late William L. and Mary S. Quartermain of South Natick, MA. Faith was a cornerstone of Alison's life. A devout Catholic, Eucharistic minister and a decades long volunteer at multiple charitable organizations, she committed herself to helping those in need. She was also an avid Boston sports fan who loved to travel around the world with her husband Sam or her sister Leslie. She lived fully, gave generously, and loved deeply. Alison will be missed beyond words but remembered forever in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., WELLESLEY, on Friday, May 30th, from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Church, 502 Washington St., Wellesley, on Saturday, May 31st, at 11am. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
