Dear Aunt Alzira,
Your life, experiences, and spirit have moved me in ways that helped me see both my family life and my own life in radically new and helpful ways - that expanded my horizons and understandings of family life and political life that I wish I had been able to get hold of and thank you for sooner.
Thank you for all that you have given me and others. Much peace to you now and many blessings. I have offered your name as part of the Yizkor service, and said (and will go on saying) the Mourner's Kaddish for the day of your passing, Tammuz 7 by the Hebrew calendar. May your life and passing be for a blessing.
Much love,
your niece, robin birdfeather

You live in my heart also. Memories of of American history that you recalled so clearly, stories & songs & delicious meals that we shared live on. Your paintings touch my soul & your infinite patience & humor uplift & strengthen me if ever my courage fails. I am grateful for your friendship and for your gift of Sukey & Ava who continue your legacy of skill, friendship & humor.
