Ann HRUBY Obituary

HRUBY, Ann (Stanger) Age 95, of Lexington,MA, passed away peacefully on December 29, after a brief illness. Ann was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1928. She spent her childhood in Montreal with her parents, Stanley and Rebecca; and her brother, Donald. When Ann married Albert Hruby in 1949, they first lived in Newton. In 1953, they moved to Lexington while raising their children, Jerry and Karen.

For the last 10 years, Ann has been happily living at Brookhaven, a residential community in Lexington. There, she enjoyed participating in many activities, including playing bridge twice a week, a knitting group and a very special group of friends. Her wonderful friends and the stellar Brookhaven staff supported Ann through some recent health challenges. Her family is thankful for their loving care.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, Al; her son, Jerry; and her brother, Don Stanger. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Karen Hruby and her partner, Jerry Stokes; her daughter-in-law, Amy Helfer and husband, Steve; her adored grandchildren, Robin McManus and her partner, Shai Sachs, Sam McManus and his wife, Ashley, Janna Hruby, Erica Hruby and David Helfer; five adorable great-grandsons; her sister-in-law, Armgard Stanger of Montreal, Quebec; her niece, Sylvia; her nephew, Derek; and many close friends.

Her family is grateful to have had Ann in good health and spirits this last Christmas.

Donations may be made in Ann's memory to MSPCA-Angell, Attn Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. Services will be private. Douglass/Customer logo
