Ann Eleanor VOGEL

VOGEL, Ann Eleanor Of North Falmouth, MA, formerly of Needham, MA and part-time resident of St. Simon's Island, GA, passed away June 26, 2023, in the Falmouth Hospital, at the age of 80. Ann was born in Boston, daughter of the late Mary T. (Blume) and Eugene J. Vogel. She was an elementary school teacher from 1964-1991, teaching at St. Theresa of Avila School in West Roxbury, public schools in Medfield and Needham and the American School in Iwakuni, Japan. Ann earned a BA from Cardinal Cushing College and Masters from Northeastern University and Simmons College. She loved to read books and travel and traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. She is survived by her sister, Claire M. Keenan and husband, Vincent P. Keenan, Jr. of Rogers, AR, brother, James E. Vogel and husband, Robert C. Anderson of West Roxbury, MA; niece, Sherry Burke and husband, Thomas Burke; nephew, Vincent Keenan, III and wife, Sara Keenan; and nephew, Timothy Keenan; six grandnieces and nephews, and many cousins. Visiting Hours will be held in Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 584 Route 28A, WEST FALMOUTH, Wednesday, July 26, from 9:30 to 10:45am. A Funeral Mass will be in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, North Falmouth, Wednesday, July 26, at 11:00am. Burial will follow the Mass in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline at 2:00pm.
