ANTONIETTA RICCIO

RICCIO, Antonietta (Santoro) Age 80, of Medford, passed away peacefully on September 25th, with her final blessing from God, surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Ariano Irpino, Avellino, Italy. Beloved daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Maria Giuseppa (Paglialonga) Santoro. Devoted sister to the late Maddelena Santoro, the late Carmine and his wife Lina Santoro, and the late Carmela and her late husband, Giuseppe Dotolo and Antonio and his wife Rosa Santoro, all from Ariano Irpino, Avellino, Italy. Loving wife of the late Francesco Riccio, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Loving mother of Luigi Riccio and Josephine Fusco of Medford, and Paula Murdza and her husband David of Florida. Cherished grandmother to Derek Murdza and Cayla Fusco. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Antonietta arrived to the North End of Boston in 1968, and then found a career as a seamstress at Forcaster in Boston. She was a very religious person, loved going to church every Sunday and if she wasn't able to make it to church, she would watch Mass on the Catholic TV channel. She loved cooking for her family every Sunday and tending to her vegetable garden and loved sewing and crocheting. Antonietta would do everything to make her family happy while putting herself second. She made sure that there was a hot meal waiting to whoever came home and she never made the house feel empty. Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, on Saturday, September 30, from 9-11 AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
