Axel Hein-Hansen Obituary

HEIN-HANSEN, Axel Age 86, Of Beverly Farms and Naples, FL, died, April 18, 2010 in Naples. He was the husband of Kathleen (Curran) (Davis) Hein-Hansen. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 13, 1923, he was the son of the late Svend and Ebba (Nielsen) Hein-Hansen. A graduate of the University of Copenhagen, Axel served in the Danish Underground during World War II. He retired from the State Street Bank of Boston after thirty-three years in the Estate Planning Department. Julia Child was one of his cherished clients. In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his son, Carl and his wife, Carol Hein-Hansen, stepson, Christopher and his wife, Jill Davis and their son, Christopher Edward Davis. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Gray) Hein-Hansen, a brother, Carl Johann and a sister, Else. The passing of this "Great Dane" is our loss and Heaven's gain. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23rd in the St. John Episcopal Church, Hale Street, Beverly Farms at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
