BARBARA M. AZNAVOORIAN

Aznavoorian, Barbara M. (Swanson) Of Winthrop, Massachusetts, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Barbara was born in Salem, MA and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn. She enjoyed a career as a professional dancer before meeting and marrying her husband Dave. Barbara had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, and enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband David E. Aznavoorian of Winthrop, sons Michael W. Swanson and his wife Andrea of Rowley, Thomas A. Swanson and his wife Joan of Saugus, David C. Aznavoorian and his wife Irene of Tewksbury, and her daughter Dr. Sadie A. Cheshire and her husband Dr. L. Bryan Cheshire of Shrewsbury. Barbara will also be greatly missed by the 6 grandchildren she loved so much, Michael and Meredith Swanson of Saugus, Ashley Aznavoorian of Salem, Courtney, Haley and David Aznavoorian of Tewksbury. Barbara is survived by her siblings Robert Swanson of Florida, Paul Swanson of Danvers, Richard Swanson of Lynnfield, Philip Swanson of Lynn, David Swanson of Saugus and Geraldine Poulin of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Mon, Nov. 3, at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will take place in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sun. only from 4-7pm.
