CARLISLE, Barbara (Allan) Age 95, of Medfield, died Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley. Born in Natick, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Marguerite (Mason) Allan. She was a graduate of Medfield High School, class of 1943, and Sargent College, class of 1947. She was a retired physical education teacher and worked in the Dover School System at the Chickering School for many years. She was the wife of the late Scott Carlisle, mother of Nancy D. Carlisle (Leon LaFreniere) of Concord, NH; Stewart Carlisle (Hope Carlisle) of Franklin; and Clayton Carlisle (Lisa Carlisle) of Jamestown, RI; grandmother of Alexander, Stephanie, Sarah, Spencer, Hayley and Benjamin Carlisle. She was the sister of the late Robert Allan, David Allan and Nancy Darby, and grandmother of the late Leigha E. Carlisle. Funeral Services will be held at the United Church of Christ, 496 Main St., Medfield on Wednesday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Philip Bauman, pastor officiating. Visiting Hours at the Roberts-Mitchell-Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., MEDFIELD on Tuesday, September 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at the Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 or www.joslin.org/support-joslin
