DR. BARBARA C. FINNEGAN

FINNEGAN, Dr. Barbara C. Dr. Barbara Catharine Finnegan of Norwell and Centerville, passed away on December 29, 2022, at age 83, after a long illness. Loving daughter of the late Thomas J. Finnegan, Esq. and Catharine (Caraher) Finnegan. She is survived by her caring extended family, her devoted circle of friends, and her beloved dog, Rylee. A graduate of the College of New Rochelle (BA 1960) and Boston University (M.Ed. 1965 and Ed.D. 1974), she retired in 2004 after 41 years as a teacher and administrator in the Hingham Public Schools. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central Street, NORWELL. The family kindly asks guests to please wear a mask in attendance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, 1057 Main Street, Hingham. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment at Church Hill Cemetery, Norwell, MA.
