MATTALIANO, Barbara Celia Age82, passed away peacefully, on November 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Raised in Saugus, MA, she carried the love of her father and grandmother Vaseliki throughout her life. A devoted mother of eight, Barbara's Revere home was a lively mix of chaos, comfort, and creativity. A talented seamstress, knitter, and crocheter, her handmade gifts were cherished by many. She is survived by six children: Maria, Catherine, Pat, Barbara, Debra, and Stephen; grandchildren, Jonathan, Lauren, and Stephen; her brother, Andrew; stepsiblings, Galen, Renee, John, and Margo; and dear friend, Kathleen Smith. She was predeceased by her parents, John A. Battis and Maria Alkides; stepmother, Erminie Battis; husband, Pasquale J. Mattaliano; and sons, Pasquale and John. Barbara loved helping at her daughter, Debra's Faneuil Hall, business and chatting with tourists from near and far. A fan of Sherlock Holmes and classic British mysteries, she delighted in a good whodunit. She will be remembered for her wit, strength, elegance, and kindness. A Celebration of Life will be held at Boston Cremation, 287 Main St., MALDEN, on Friday, November 28, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited.
