BENJAMIN GERSON

GERSON, Benjamin Benjamin Gerson of Milford, MA formerly of Peabody, entered into rest on August 28, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Barbara (Desatnick) for 57 years. Devoted father of Michelle and Eric Yanofsky, Jayne Gerson and Elliott Haut, and Jonathan and Beth Gerson. Proud and cherished grandfather of Arenal, Andrew, Barri, Fletcher, Sam, and Lydia. Dear son of the late Bertram and Helen Gerson. Ben grew up in Medford, and went on to earn a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. He was a trusted accountant in the construction field. While living in Peabody, he was an active member of Temple New Tamid. In retirement, he was a dedicated food pantry volunteer, and enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. Vaccinated family and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:00AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM, MA 01970 with interment to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 98 Canterbury Drive, Peabody, MA, 01960. Shiva will be held at the family residence on Tuesday, August 31; Wednesday, September 1; and Thursday, September 2 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
