Benjamin Hurvitz Obituary

95, of Wilmington formerly of Brookline. Entered Eternal Rest July 18, 2008, former President of Congregation Kehillath Israel, Brookline. Devoted husband of the late Minnie (Wolfe). Beloved father of Charles Hurvitz. Loving brother of Charles Dill Hurvitz, Samuel Hurvitz, Marion Hurvitz, the late Sara Ruth Segel and Rita Zazula. Cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Services at the Linas Hatzedeck Cemetery Fuller St. Everett on Sunday July 20 at 12:30 PM. Shiva will be private. To the Family and Friends of Ben,
I came to know Ben at the Woodbriar of Wilmington as he and my dad, Harry Fishburne, became good friends in their time there together. Ben would join us for card games after lunch. He was a gentleman. Such a nice person to be around. He would always come to my organ concerts and I looked forward to seeing him sitting in the front row. I am blessed to have know Ben and I will miss him.
