SHUMAN, Bernard Entered into rest, July 30 of Swampscott, formerly of Marblehead and Revere. Beloved husband of Marcia (Alperin) Shuman. Devoted father of Lawrence and his wife Merle Shuman, Ellen and her husband Dr. Howard Sackel. Loving brother of Dr. Norman Shuman and the late Howard and Lawrence Shuman. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan and his wife Debra Shuman, Kenneth Shuman, Matthew and his wife Joanna Sackel, David Sackel, and great-grandfather of Sophie and Mia Shuman. Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., SALEM-SWAMPSCOTT Line on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Observance Friday only until sundown at the Crown Pointe Club House, 400 Paradise Rd., Swampscott. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

Mrs Shuman,
I was traveling out of the country when Bernie passed. I will miss him and I will never forget him telling me how he "hit the jackpot" when he married you.
