BEVERLY J. MS MPH GREER M.D.

GREER, Beverly J. MS, MD, MPH Of Westborough, MA died at age 69 on January 21, 2021 after an extended illness. Daughter of the late William Greer, MD and Mary (Bettie) Greer. Devoted and adored sister of Peter Greer of Richmond, VA, Scott Greer of Pittsburgh, PA and Stuart and his wife Barbara Greer of Sunapee, NH. Cherished aunt of Courtney Greer of Providence, RI, Katherine Greer of New York, NY, Rebekah Gabor of Vienna, VA and Tucker Greer of Richmond, VA. Much loved by many friends near and far, all of whom were dear to her. Brave, stoic and resilient, to the amazement of all she battled and defeated significant health issues in her later life. Previously, she had enjoyed skiing, tennis and world travel. She never lost her sense of humor. Beverly graduated from Needham High School, followed by Mount Holyoke College. She received her Master's in Zoology from the University of Connecticut before choosing a career as a physician. Like her father, Beverly received her Doctor of Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. She practiced obstetrics and gynecology at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for many years. After retiring, and in her never-ending pursuit of knowledge, Beverly obtained her Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts. As a result of her longtime passion for gardening, she became a certified Master Gardener, volunteering at the Gardens at Elm Bank, the Garden in the Woods, and other locales. Due to current pandemic limitations, services are private. There will be a celebration of Beverly's life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made for a permanent tribute to Beverly at the Native Plant Trust's Garden in the Woods.
