BEVERLY LAVANCHY Obituary

LAVANCHY, Beverly (Staples) Of Hanover and Naples, FL, passed peacefully on December 16th, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Jean P. Lavanchy of 68 years. Devoted mother of Steven Lavanchy of Weymouth, Susan Goudreau and her husband Ray of Marshfield, David Lavanchy and his wife Margaret of Easton, Beth Allard and her husband Mike of Franklin, Gene Lavanchy and his wife Anne Marie of Walpole, and the late Robert Lavanchy and his surviving wife, Becky of New Mexico. Cherished sister of the late Janice Longston. Loving "Grammie" of 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Although I was not her primary nurse at Dana Farber in Weymouth, I did interact with Barbara on several occasions. She was so sweet. No matter how poorly she might have felt, she always had a smile on her face and never complained. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she shared her love of them with me on the occasion of the birth of my first granddaughter this summer. Afterward, she would always ask me how my granddaughter was doing. You can tell she loved her family so much. She is now without suffering and at peace. May you be comforted by your loving memories of your beautiful Barbara!
