BURT GORDON

GORDON, Burt Burt Gordon passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He was 89 years old, having lived a life filled with loving family and friends. He was born in Chicago, where he graduated from Roosevelt High School. After a (very) successful blind date, he moved to Boston to be with the woman he would be married to for the next 63 years. Over the next (busy) ten years, their four daughters were born. He was a veteran of the Korean War, as evidenced by his signature veterans hat he proudly wore wherever he went. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, as a successful independent manufacturer's representative for wholesale building products, setting a work ethic that his daughters emulate throughout their lives. Beloved husband of Barbara (Swidler) Gordon. Devoted father of Lori Gordon, Audrey Gordon, Leslie Gordon, and Karen Betournay. Adored father-in-law to John Ledoux, Rich Reed, Scott Berns, and David Betournay. Cherished papa of Sam, Nadia, Syetta, Jason, Ben, Paige, and Skyler. Loving brother of the late Paul Gordon, and dear son of the late Ann (Portnoy) Gordon and Irwin Gordon. He enjoyed traveling, playing tennis and racquetball, working around the house, building model ships and airplanes, watching sports and reading. More than anything, he loved spending time laughing and talking with his family and dear friends. Visiting Hours: A private, in-person service for immediate family only will be held on Friday, December 24th, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Stanetsky -Hymanson Memorial Chapel, followed by a private internment.
