CAROL KING Obituary

KING, Carol A. Age 75, formerly of Norwood, MA, Weymouth, Hingham, and Clarence, NY, passed away in peace and love on October 31, 2022, in Scituate, MA. Carol was born on December 19, 1946 in Boston, MA, the beloved daughter of the late Lillian (Nettle) Wauhkonen and the late Wilho Wauhkonen of Norwood, MA. She is the sister of the late Raymond Wauhkonen of Toronto, Canada. Carol was an accomplished Registered Nurse across various medical settings and later became a Paralegal in NY. She graduated from the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1967. Carol also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State College in 1967. During this time, she dedicated her time as a passionate and active contributor to many Women's Rights causes. As a Mother, she was selflessly committed to raising a family and was instrumental in her daughter's junior tennis accomplishments. Carol carried an infinite zest for life, fun, friends, gardening, cooking, animals including but not limited to her beloved dog Nygel, nature and wildlife, and the arts. Most of all, she cherished her beloved children and grandchildren, Elena and Reese. Carol's eternal love of the wonder and magic within all of life's beauty, coupled with her sense of humor and immense caring for others, are forever her essence and legacy. Carol is survived by her loving daughter Sandra Ponichtera of Scituate, MA; her grandchildren, Elena and Reese; and by her son, Robert King of CA. From a classmate from NEBH. I'm sorry to lose another; But, I must say, I appreciate all the "smarts" that got us to meet. And I appreciate the strength that had us move in new directions in our lives.. Always with LOVE and Challenge. Praying for your comfort.
