CAROLINE Marie CONWAY

CONWAY, Caroline (Chisholm) Caroline Marie (Chisholm) Conway, 54, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on December 3, 1968 to Thomas and Linda (Orlandella) Chisholm. Caroline - or Carrie - grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts and graduated from Wayland High School in 1986. She attended Marquette University, where she met John Joseph Conway, better known as Joe, who became her lifelong best friend and devoted husband in 1991. Caroline had a successful career working in finance in Boston for more than 30 years, predominantly with State Street Global Advisors, and most recently at Cambridge Associates. She was a favorite of many of her colleagues, who appreciated her support, work ethic and elite sense of humor. From 2010 to 2012, Carrie and Joe moved to Hong Kong where she embraced life abroad through travel, exploring new cuisine, and forging new friendships with the people she met along the way. Carrie's greatest gift was how she made every person she met feel special. To love Carrie, you only had to meet her once. From the nurses she was sharing recipes with in the hospital, to her lifelong friends she kept in touch with, to her family she checked in on every day, Carrie modeled how to live with an open heart and to always lead with kindness. In addition to Joe; her parents; and her mother and father in-law, Sally and Barney Conway of Beloit, Wisconsin; Caroline is survived by her siblings, Kenneth Chisholm and his wife Carla of Canton, Massachusetts, Douglas Chisholm and his wife Christine of Fairfield, Connecticut, and Benjamin Chisholm and his wife Susan of Sudbury, Massachusetts; and Joe's siblings, Kevin Conway of Chicago, Illinois, Meghan Conway and her husband Ryan Jones of Boulder, Colorado, and Maureen Cameron and her husband Patrick of Boulder, Colorado. Caroline is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Alison, Thomas, Brian, Caroline, Michael, Aidan, Holden, Katherine, Luke, Eleanor and Evelyn, who loved and idolized her almost as much as she loved and adored them. As much as Carrie loved her family, she was also a die hard Boston sports fan. She may have been Tom Brady's biggest fan. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Raw Bar at Island Creek Oyster Farm at 401 Washington Street, Duxbury, MA, on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
